Professional Hair Stylist
Jackie Yates, one of Gwinnett Counties most famed hairstylist opened his first self-titled salon in the fall of 1989. It was only a matter of time before he was recognized as one of the more gifted stylists. Nestled in a neighborhood near Hamilton Hill Country Club, Jackie Yates Salon flourished as did Jackie’s constant desire to serve others.
The Salon & The Call:
November 1989, Jackie Yates Salon was established.
In the beginning Jackie Yates Salon ran under a more world view of business and what business interaction meant and how the business worked to be successful. In 1998 he pledged his life to Christ and a business became a ministry changing the world around him one life at a time. He still made people beautiful only now he started from the inside out. His mission statement became, “We Edify Your Inner Glow by Enhancing Your Outer Beauty.” A community’s lighthouse/safehouse to add value to all the lives he touched.
Through out the 30 years Jackie has been styling hair, God has been speaking to him to simplify and minister for Him. As the salon grew he kept hearing this small voice saying you haven’t reach the high place yet. What place is that you say? The place where God pours out blessings to others through Jackie in a powerful way, “pressed down, shaken together and overflowing”. Again the message, watch, look closely and you’ll see me.
The Next Step:
In 2010 the love of his life “Tena” was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, through her trials he saw how the loss of her hair caused pain and embarrassment. That was it, he said he wanted to find a way to give back and minister to these men and women suffering through hair loss. He knew he had to be apart of this great opportunity. So he set his eyes on the goal and began to pray.
In 2015; with a blink of an eye and an individual searching to invest in a business, the question is wooing Jackie to a further chapter of his life “What if?” “What if I sell the salon?” Almost three weeks of sleepless nights and a tapestry of prayer he decided to move forward. Jackie Yates Salon is no longer his business. Still creating beautiful hair, enjoying the guests that have become a part of his life, Jackie has launched out on his own again with Jackie Yates Hair Restoration Source. The answer to many prayers, hair restoration for men, women and children who have thinning or loss of hair.
